The Growth from Within

Last year I would have never thought that my ability as a writer and person would expand as much as it did. Learning new skills, reshaping the old, and finding a new way to market myself. Throughout this course, I have come to realize that I am a writer. A person with a voice that wants to share. Whether that be through content/copy writing, poetry, Instagram posts, etc. I want to use my voice and watch it fly.
Through the interview with Sarah Lock, I saw that my ability to connect with others was immense. I felt that Sarah was comfortable and excited to share her story with me. Within this assignment specifically, I realized a new passion of mine. Interviewing others and sharing not only my voice but their voices and stories. It opened me up to the posobilities within my creative writing.
I am excited to see the expansion beyond poetry. I have seen that my abilities as a poet can be transformed into more of a professional setting. The first dip into writing outside of poetry was the post about community. I challenged myself to write about something important to me and how it has changed my life.
I found that I was not only was I able to continue my passion for creative writing, but I was capable of creating content that was more than me. It showcases who I am and the spaces I thrive in, what is happening within those spaces, and it challenges the reader to dive deeper into their own understandings.
I am excited to continue this growth as a writer and see where it takes me. I know that there is a lot more to do within my writing career.
